The Launceston Weight Loss Surgery was established in 2012 by Mr Girish Pande after performing laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding operations in Launceston at both the public and private hospitals. Mr Pande offers gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy and gastric Roux-en-Y bypass procedures.

Weight loss surgery for patients is looked at with a holistic view of diet, lifestyle and psychological changes following bariatric surgery. Patients are given information about the procedures before their appointment and are encouraged to discuss any concerns directly with Mr Pande at this initial appointment. The Launceston Weight Loss Surgery offers surgery in the hope that we assist our patients to regain their health, mobility, confidence and sense of well being.    

Mr Pande is a specialist in upper gastrointestinal cancer surgery; pancreas; oesophagus; liver; biliary and general surgery as well as obesity surgery.

The Launceston Weight Loss Surgery is operated in conjunction with the long established practice of Mr Girish K Pande - Surgeon.

Mr Girish K Pande is a member of the Australian Medical Association. He has been a contributor of the Bariatric Surgery Registry at Monash University since 2015.
